Description

The War Memorial at the Church of St Tysilio is a large polished granite Celtic cross. The head of the cross features a circular surround, with rounded arms that extend outward. The inner cross arms are adorned with three-sided Celtic knots. The column has chamfered angles and tapering sides, with recessed carved panels that bear inscriptions: "To the glory of God and in memory of those who fell in the war 1914-1918, their name liveth for evermore," and "1939-45," below. This column stands on a square plinth with rounded sides and a raking base that is inscribed with names.
