Description

No. 10 is a rubble stone building with brick dressings and a slate roof, dating from the 18th century. It is two storeys high with attics, and has a two-window front, with a wider gable slightly projecting to the right. The left-hand section has red-brick dressings. A four-panelled door with an overlight is at the left, flanked by paired four-pane sash windows beneath a cambered head. Above are four-pane sash windows, and a small dormer gable with decorative bargeboards and a four-pane sash window. The gable features yellow brick dressings, including glazed moulded keys and sills, and a stringcourse to the first floor. The ground floor has two four-pane sash windows; an oriel window sits above, and a four-pane sash window with a round-arched head is at the gable apex.

No. 11 is a roughcast building with a slate roof and gable end stacks, also dating from the 18th century. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has a two-window front facing New Street, with a return elevation to the garden. The return elevation features an etiolated circular oriel window in the gable with stained glass above the transom, and a big overhanging cornice. Gabled dormers have fretted bargeboards and round-arched sash windows in the attic storey. The first floor has four-pane sash windows with smooth stucco surrounds and a sill band. A canted bay to the right has a detailed cornice and a leaded roof. A door with an overlight leads to a panelled door with stained glass panels.

The boundary wall is rubble with yellow-brick dressings and includes a segmental archway to the left with a boarded door and a traceried overlight.
