Description

The Grove War Memorial is a medieval-style granite cross, featuring an elaborated cross-head set on a collar atop a heptagonal column. The column flares out at its base to form a heptagonal plinth. An inscription is carved into three of the plinth's seven faces, which reads: "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN HONOUR OF THOSE WHO SERVED IN THE GREAT WAR ON LAND AND SEA 1914-1918." No names are recorded on the memorial.

It is situated on a grassy knoll and can be reached by two flights of stone-flagged steps, which are included in the listing.
