Description
The Kimberley Park War Memorial is a war memorial cross dating from the mid-20th century. It is made of dressed granite and features a plain tapering cross that stands on a three-stepped square base and a tapering plinth. The front (south) face of the cross has an incised inscription that reads "TO OUR GLORIOUS DEAD" within a roundel at the base of the shaft. The north face is inscribed with "THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919."
The cross shaft is set on a square base, which has a plaque attached to the south face. This plaque commemorates the names of the men and women of Falmouth who gave their lives in the war of 1939-1945, stating that "THE NAMES OF THE FALLEN ARE RECORDED IN THE BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE IN THE PARISH CHURCH." The plinth below features another plaque that reads "THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918," and the other faces of the plinth are inscribed with the names of the fallen.
