Description

Welham Hall is a small country house built around 1815. It features a brick structure with stucco and colourwash, topped by a hipped slate roof. The building has a ramped ashlar plinth, moulded eaves, and three ridge stacks. It stands three storeys high and has a square plan with three bays.

The main east front includes a central projecting semi-circular bay that rises two storeys, featuring a flat roof and parapet. This bay contains three French windows, which are flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. Above this bay, there is a cast iron balcony supported by decorative brackets, with three more French windows and additional single glazing bar sashes, each with its own cast iron balcony.

To the left of the main facade, there is a 20th-century single-storey flat-roofed extension. The rear elevation has an off-centre flat-roofed 19th-century ashlar porch with a double door, flanked on the left by four glazing bar sashes and on the right by two glazing bar sashes. Above the porch, there are seven glazing bar sashes, and above those, three blank panels flanked by two smaller glazing bar sashes. The north end of the building features a central blank panel flanked by single glazing bar sashes on the first two floors, with two glazing bar sashes and a single 20th-century casement window above.
