Description

Ivy Cottage and Yew Tree Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of brick with a 20th-century pantile roof and features first and second-floor bands, cogged and dentillated eaves, tumbled coped gables, and four gable stacks. The house is three storeys high and originally had a three-bay design, now in an L-plan layout. The main west front has a central pedimented doorcase with curved brackets supporting a hood, and a 18th-century half-glazed door with Gothick tracery. Flanking the door are single 19th-century flat-roofed canted bay windows, each containing three glazing bar sashes with cresting. Above are three glazing bar sashes, and above again, three smaller plain sashes. The south elevation, along with Yew Tree Cottage, has 20th-century window openings.
