Description
The North Cray War Memorial is a tall wheeled Celtic cross made of granite. The front face of the cross features intricate knot-work carvings and it is positioned on a small platform that sits atop a trapezoidal plinth. The front face of the small platform is inscribed with "1914 - 1918," while the back face reads "1939 - 1945." The front face of the plinth bears the inscription: THE . GLORIOUS . DEAD / (names) / FOR . GOD ., KING . AND . COUNTRY; and the back face lists additional names. The entire structure is supported by a stone platform.
