Description
Pencaledog is a 2-storey vernacular farmhouse. The original house features a three-window range, which has been extended by a single window range at both ends, maintaining the original building line. The walls are constructed of rubble masonry and are rendered in grey grit. The roof is covered with old small slates and is grouted. There are end chimneys as well as a large central square chimney with a capping that indicates the extent of the original house. The windows are recessed sash windows with small panes. At the rear elevation on the first floor, there are small gabled half dormers. The central entrance on the west side has been altered to include a bay window, which is flanked by additional bay windows.
