Description
The Rock Farmhouse is a two-storey farmhouse built from colourwashed rendered rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and featuring brick end chimneys. The building has a three-window range that is offset to the left, with a lower two-storey service range to the right. The windows have cambered heads and earlier 20th-century glazing, with three small pairs of casement windows above and two tripartite windows with top-lights below. The brick window heads are exposed where the render has been damaged. There is a cambered-headed doorway beneath a flat hood, and small loft lights are present in each gable end.
The service range includes a brick end stack, a single three-light window on the upper floor, and a ground floor with a door and window in a 20th-century glazed lean-to. At right angles to the main building is a low single-storey outbuilding with a brick chimney. At the rear, the house features one window on the first floor and two windows on the ground floor, with no outshut. The service range has a lean-to that partially extends onto the main block.
Inside, the farmhouse has a two-room plan with a central passage and staircase. Each room contains a single cased beam and end fireplaces with brick arches.
