Description
Cefn Llech is a two-storey farmhouse with a lower, single-bay extension on the left end, which has a ruinous lean-to addition at the front that is now roofless. The main building is constructed of rubble masonry, featuring limewashed and rendered elevations. It has a slate roof with gable stacks; the right-hand stack is tall, narrow, and rendered, while the left-hand stack is wider. The extension has a roof covered with small old slates.
The farmhouse has a central doorway set beneath a shallow gabled porch with rendered walls and a slate roof. To the left of the door, there is an unequal sash window with 12 panes located between the floors. At the left end of the house, there is a similar sash window on the first floor, with a 16-pane sash window on the ground floor below it. To the right of the door, there is a modern timber casement window on the ground floor, along with a Velux window in the roof above. The extension features a blocked window above a boarded doorway at the right end.
The interior was not inspected during the survey, but a previous listing description from 1978 noted that the right end of the interior has a wide and very deep hearth, which is now closed in, with a timber lintel. Until recently, there was no ceiling in the upper storey, and cloth was nailed to the underside of the roof.
