Description
Plas Cichle is a late Georgian, two-storey, four-bay house finished in whitened pebble-dash, featuring a hipped slate roof and two roughcast stacks, with an additional stack located to the left. Originally a three-bay house, it now has a central entrance that includes an added half-glazed porch, which features a half-glazed panelled door and a glazed roof. Inside the porch, there are double half-glazed fielded-panel doors topped by a segmental-headed radial-glazed overlight. The porch is flanked by early 20th-century canted bay windows, each with paired eight-pane horned sashes.
On the upper storey, the outer bays have original 16-pane hornless sash windows, while the centre has a 12-pane hornless sash window. To the left side of the house, there is an added bay that features a two-storey canted bay window extending above the eaves, which also has paired eight-pane horned sashes. On the lower storey, the right-hand facet of this window includes a glazed door beneath a shallow segmental-headed canopy situated between the bay window and the adjacent window to the right.
The right side wall of the house has a two-light window on the lower storey, with one light featuring replacement glazing. The upper storey contains a 16-pane hornless sash window on the right and a blocked window on the left with painted glazing bars. The rear of the house is constructed of rubble stone with brick heads over the openings, featuring a boarded door and window on the left and a small window in the centre. Above this, there is a larger round-headed small-pane sash window that illuminates the stair. A lower two-storey wing has a boarded door on the left side and a replacement window in the upper storey.
The left end wall of the house has a 16-pane horned sash window on each storey. Set back behind this wall, the original house's left end features a replacement top-hung small-pane casement window above a flat-roof porch with a half-glazed door. The rear wing contains small-pane windows on each storey.
The original house has a double-depth plan with a central stair hall. The open-well stair is notable for its wreathed handrail and plain balusters, while the main rooms are fitted with panelled doors.
