Description
Cichle Farmhouse is a 2-storey, 3-window farmhouse featuring pebble-dashed walls and a slate roof. It has a square chimney stack on the right and a smaller stack on the left. The openings are offset to the left side and are not evenly spaced. The central entrance is located in a shallow lean-to open porch, which contains a mid-20th century half-glazed door. The steel-framed casement windows, also from the mid-20th century, have been inserted into the original openings. On the left gable end, there is a sash window with 2 over 1-pane sashes, while a corresponding window on the right side has been blocked, with evidence of it visible only inside the house.
At the rear, there is a central gabled wing set back from the left end of the main house, featuring a mid-20th century half-glazed door to the right and a 2-light casement window to the left. The 2-window gable end has been rebuilt in brick and rendered, with replacement windows. A weathered stone tablet on the building displays the raised letters and numerals 'INRI' above '1601 WG', framed by a Latin cross. The opposite side wall also has replacement windows.
Inside, the lower storey is now a single room with a replacement staircase. On the right side, there is a large fireplace with a cambered brick head, and two cross beams featuring stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
