Description
Twr Garw is a linear range that includes a cottage and a cowhouse, with a single-window outbuilding on the left, which may have been a former stable, and a garage at the far left (south) end. The structure is built of rubble masonry and is limewashed, featuring a slate roof, although some sections have been re-roofed with profiled material. The cottage has rectangular gable stacks with dripstones and capping. Its openings are slightly offset to the right, with a doorway flanked by 12-pane hornless sash windows that have slate sills. The cowhouse has a doorway at the left end and a ventilation slit to its left; a former doorway to its right has been partially blocked and now features a 6-pane casement window at its head. The lower outbuilding has a doorway on the left and a 4-pane light on the right, with a profiled roof that has stone coping at the left (south) gable. The garage at the far left end may have been remodeled from a former cartshed and includes a single wide doorway and a new slate roof with a tiled ridge.
Inside the cottage, there is a narrow central staircase leading up to two small bedrooms. The ground floor retains the original stone flag floor. The outbuildings were not inspected during the survey.
