Description
Tan-y-braich is a smallholder's cottage with an attached cowhouse, built from roughly coursed limewashed rubblestone and topped with a graded slate roof. The roof features a ridge stack to the left of the center and an integral end stack to the left, both equipped with slate drips. This single-storey building has a long domestic range that may have been constructed in two phases. The right section is a conventional dwelling with a central doorway flanked by two windows. The left section, which may have served as an out-kitchen, has a doorway on the right and a single window on the left; it might have been used separately. All windows have slate cills, and at the time of the survey, the windows and doors were boarded up. The attached cowhouse on the right features a plank door. Additionally, there is a later outbuilding set back from the left gable end, which has a shallow lean-to tin roof. The property was not available for inspection at the time of the survey.
