Description

Parc is a long range building that includes a single-storey cottage with a separate enclosed garden at the front. To the right of the cottage is a cow-house range, while to the left are an out-kitchen and a store with a granary above. Behind the cow-house range is a substantial haybarn, and there is a stable behind the granary range, which is a 20th-century addition. The building is constructed of rubble masonry and is limewashed throughout. The cottage has a bedded and grouted slate roof, while the cow-house has regular slates, some of which are later additions.

The cottage features a central doorway flanked by 4-pane sash windows, which were boarded at the time of inspection. It has gable end stacks that are equally sized. The cow-house range on the right has two doorways and a central window. The out-kitchen and store to the left are low, with two storeys. The kitchen has a doorway on the right and a 4-pane sash window on the left, both under a single long timber lintel. The outbuilding has a single doorway in its front elevation and provides access to the upper granary via an external staircase against the gable end. The granary has two upper windows, featuring glazed upper panes and slatted lower sections for ventilation. The haybarn at the rear of the cow-house was originally open and consisted of three bays, but the two outer open bays have been blocked with rubble to create a semi-enclosed barn.

The cottage retains its original layout, consisting of a principal room with a main fireplace and a secondary heated room. The high ceiling over the main room suggests that there may have been a croglofft above the secondary room, indicating the previous existence of a loft. The secondary room features a fine carved slate fireplace, with simple concentric circles in the lintel and floral motifs in simple lined panels on the side-pieces. The boarded ceiling may also be original. The kitchen retains remnants of a painted calico ceiling, which is nailed between the rafters.
