Description
Eirianallt is a late 17th century, two-storey house featuring three windows on the main front and a smaller two-window wing with a garage, which was originally a cowhouse, at the right end. The building is constructed from heavily mortared rubble masonry and has large projecting lintel slabs at the ground floor. It has a modern raised slate roof topped with a tall square chimney located at the center of the main range.
The central entrance has chamfered jambs, a later lower lintel, and a heavy plain label, with a recess above for a tablet. The windows are recessed small-paned casements, some of which have been enlarged. The ground floor windows feature heavy plain stone labels, and while the openings have been narrowed, the original jambs remain. Two of the upper windows have been raised; the left window is an unequal sash in its original opening, but all frames are modern. At the rear, there is a mix of window placements and remnants of the original eaves course that projects between the first-floor windows.
The former cowhouse has had windows inserted into partially filled former doorways, with a modern door at the rear. At the far north end of the building is a garage with a single doorway at the front and double doors at the rear.
Inside, the sitting room retains massive chamfered hewn beams, including a curved bressumer above the wide fireplace, along with exposed joists. The windows have deep splayed reveals and seats.
