Description

The limekiln at Plas Newydd is a notable structure featuring substantial remains of a small limekiln designed in a circular shape, with the chute oriented towards the trackway to the south. Attached to the rear wall of the kiln is a two-bay, open-fronted lime-shed that has been constructed against the quarry face. The roof of the lime-shed, which is currently covered with profiled sheeting, is supported by limestone piers.
