Description

The limekiln at Ffynnon Bryncyn is a large circular structure from the 19th century, constructed of rubble stone, sea boulders, and slate shale masonry, with an overgrown top. It features two large pointed kiln-eyes and boat-prow shaped curving walls that lead down to a small rear fire-opening. The eastern kiln-eye is intact, while the western kiln-eye has collapsed on one side. The rear of the kiln is built into a bank.
