Description
The Llwyngwair Arms is an early to mid 19th century inn constructed from squared brown stone, featuring a banded upper floor. The building has paired timber brackets at the eaves, a slate roof, and large stone end stacks. It stands three storeys tall and has a three-window range with paired casement windows that have slate sills. There are small attic windows with timber lintels, cambered heads, and stone voussoirs below. The ground floor windows are fitted with shutters, and the central door has an overlight above it. The original six-panel door and the inner half-glazed door with stained glass panels were removed in 1990.
To the right, there is a similar one-window two-storey range that continues without a break in the walling, featuring matching windows on each floor and a door to the right, also with an overlight.
The rear wall includes a long central stair light, which has been converted into a door, as the ground floor windows are positioned at basement level behind it.
