Description

Bryn Coed is an early 19th century house with a stucco exterior, a bitumen-covered slate roof, and stone end stacks shared with adjacent properties. It is two and a half storeys high, with a three-window front. The roof has three gabled and bargeboarded eaves dormers with casement windows. The first floor has three later 19th century margin-glazed sash windows with raised stucco labels and painted slate sills. The ground floor features two fine early 19th century tripartite bow windows, with a 4-12-4-pane configuration, on either side of a half-glazed door with a blocked overlight. The door is set within a timber doorcase with a shallow pediment, and the bow windows have reeded piers, curved fascias, cornices, and stuccoed curved bases.

The front garden is enclosed by a low slate wall with intersected hoop railings and a gate.

At the rear, a hipped stair tower features a round arched stair light with intersected tracery. Below this is a 20-pane sash window. A gabled two-storey rear wing extends from the southwest.
