Description
Llys Meddyg is a substantial house built in the mid to later 19th century, constructed from squared rubble stone with a gabled slate roof and green stone end stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring a three-window front with large 16-pane sash windows that have painted slate sills and green stone voussoirs on the ground floor. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door topped with a margin-glazed overlight.
A later 19th-century heavy ashlar porch enhances the entrance, supported by two columns with Gothic capitals, pilaster responds, a cornice, and a parapet adorned with pierced cusped roundels. The porch also includes corner pedestal blocks topped with urn finials and a scrolled name block above the centre of the parapet.
On the west side, the end wall has a pair of loft windows, while the basement features a door and three windows, alongside two ground floor 12-pane sashes, with one 12-pane sash on the first floor. The east side includes one ground floor 16-pane sash.
The front garden is enclosed by whitewashed brick dwarf walls topped with cast-iron arcaded rails and finials, creating a curved southeast angle.
