Description

The lime kiln, located south of Llanerch, is constructed from large, unmortared squared limestone blocks. It has a roughly square shape and is built into a bank, featuring tapering walls and a slightly bowed front elevation. The kiln has a single large arched front opening made with squared stone voussoirs. The entry to the kiln is exceptionally deep, measuring between 4.5 to 5 meters, and the crucible is infilled.
