Description

The lime kiln on Skomer Island is a square structure, approximately 3 meters high and 6 meters wide, constructed from rubble stone. The northwest side is built into the slope of a hill, while the southwest and northeast sides feature large kiln eyes with tapering sides that support cast-iron lintels. The crucible of the kiln is open.
