Description
West Hook is a farmhouse constructed from whitewashed rubble stone, featuring a grouted renewed roof and end stacks. The right side is brick, while the left has a massive external stack that may date back to the 17th century. The east front is two stories high and includes four-pane sash windows, with two windows over a central porch and one window on each side. The gabled porch has an entry on the south side. It is noted that one of the windows above the porch is said to be recently inserted. The ground floor openings have brick heads and sills, and there is a lean-to at the rear. An outbuilding is located at the northern end. The end chimney is exceptionally large, rendered and whitewashed, with a roughly square base that tapers in on all three sides to a short, roughly square shaft.
