Description
The stable range at St Brides Castle is a 20th-century structure made of rubble stone with a slate hipped roof. The western side facing the courtyard was built out in the early 20th century and is roughcast, featuring a single storey. The eastern side has a castellated parapet and a rounded crenellated wall that connects the northeast corner to the main house. There is a door leading to the service yard.
On the left side of the center, there is a crow-stepped gabled projection with a red-brick gable stack and a triple casement window with top-lights set in a brick chamfered surround. To the left of this gable, there are two taller late 20th-century casement pairs with top-lights in similar frames, which replaced three small cambered-headed openings. This section is adjacent to the round tower at the corner of the kitchen garden, which is listed separately. To the right, between the gable and the end tower, there are five windows of various sizes, some of which were altered during restoration work carried out between 1990 and 1992.
