Description
The cow-house at Cyfnant Uchaf is an outbuilding constructed from rubble stone and topped with a slate roof. It consists of two sections, with the main part located downhill. The south gable end features a loft window with a timber lintel. On the west side, there are three doors and a central loft light, while the east side has one blocked door in the center and another door to the right, with no loft windows present. The upper end of the building is built into the slope, resulting in a higher wallplate level and a shallower roof pitch. The main front faces east and is lofted, showcasing two windows above a window and door, all of which have stone voussoirs. There is also one loft window on the west side.
Originally, the two buildings were separate, but they have now been joined internally by the removal of the party wall, and the loft floors have been taken out. The main part of the building features two tie-beam trusses with angle struts supporting the roof.
