Description
Ty Capel is a chapel house built from square rock-faced grey limestone, featuring flush grey ashlar sills and heads. It has a slate close-eaved roof with a limestone chimney located on the ridge to the left of the center. The building is two stories tall and has a four-window front, which includes 12-pane hornless sash windows with single slab ashlar heads and flush sills. There are three of these windows on the first floor; however, the second window is a smaller 2-pane sash with a slightly cambered head. On the ground floor, there are two 12-pane sashes in the first and third bays, while the second and fourth bays contain arched doors. The doors are ledged, with the left door featuring a plate glass fan and the right door having a blank tympanum. The arches and keystones are made of cut stone. The right end wall is constructed of random rubble and has two 9-pane horned sashes with timber lintels on the first floor. The left end of the building is attached to the end wall of the chapel.
