Description

Plas Isaf is a house built of whitewashed rubble stone with a slate roof. It features a stone stack on the right end with dripstones. The building has a long two-storey elevation, showcasing widely spaced triple casement windows, with the left bay converted from a lofted cartshed. A large rendered and slated porch is roughly central, containing one large triple casement window to the right and a smaller one to the left. At the left end, there is a brick-arched coach entry that has been glazed. The first floor has three roughly square triple casements under the eaves, positioned one over the coach entry and one on each side of the porch, although the right one is not aligned with the ground floor window. Outside steps lead to a loft door on the left end, which has a brick head and blocked dove-holes above it. The rear of the house is made of rubble stone and has one small window under the eaves to the right, along with a centre wall-face stack and a lean-to porch featuring a west door and a 20-pane fixed light to the north. The northeast wing to the left is two-storey with a brick stack on the north side, two first floor windows on the west, and one on the ground floor, with a lean-to on the north end.

The interior has a cross-passage two-unit plan. There is a large chamfered beam in the passage, and the parlour to the east has a chamfered beam with ogee stops and an east end fireplace with a timber lintel, along with access to stairs in the northwest corner. The room to the west of the passage features a 20th-century corner fireplace. Upstairs, there is one massive tie-beam and collar truss, along with another collar truss that is missing its tie-beam, and heavy purlins throughout.
