Description
The cow house at Dolau Uchaf is a structure built from limewashed rubble stone and topped with a slate roof. It features three boarded doors with timber lintels. On the right side, there is a small lean-to made of corrugated iron, which was used for churn storage in the mid-20th century. The right gable end has a boarded loft loading door. Additionally, there is a continuous rear outshut with a roof that is partly made of corrugated plastic and partly slate.
Inside, the cow house has a five-bay collar-beam roof. The doorways lead to a central feed passage and outer muck passages. Original stalls made of brick with wooden mangers are still present, although much of the brickwork has been covered with cement render. The outshut includes a calf cot.
