Description

The George Street Bridge is a Grade II* listed cable-stayed cantilever road bridge. It features two pairs of concrete masts, each with three sets of four cable stays that support the main span of the bridge. The approaches to the bridge are held up by cylindrical concrete pillars. The bridge accommodates four carriageways and has a pedestrian footway on each side. Additionally, there are concrete steps leading up to each side of the bridge near the western masts.
