Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan house with classical doorpiece. Cream sandstone rubble, squared, coursed and stugged to S eleevation, ashlar dressings. Base, cill and eaves courses, cornice, blocking course, quoin strips.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: doorpiece to centre with 3/4 engaged columns, cornice and blocking course, deep-set fanlit, flush 8-panelled door with fluted architrave; window to right and left. Regular fenestration at 1st floor with cill course.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: 3 bays with stair window to centre.

12-pane sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof, tall corniced end stacks.

BOUNDARY WALL AND GATE: cream sandstone rubble, ashlar coped. Wrought-iron gate with letter M in circular panel.
