Description
11 Upper Gray Street is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay classical house. It is constructed of coursed pink sandstone rubble with cream sandstone ashlar dressings. The building features a base course, a dividing band course, a cill course for the first-floor windows, and a cornice with a blocking course.
The west elevation, which serves as the entrance, has a central doorway with a panelled door and an umbrella fanlight, framed by a pilastered and corniced doorpiece. Above the doorway, there is a single window, with additional windows in the outer left and right bays.
The windows are 12-pane timber sash and case style. The roof is pitched with grey slate and has mutual, coped ridge stacks with moulded cans.
The interior was not seen in 1995. The property is enclosed by low coped rubble boundary walls with replacement railings.
