Description

Early 19th century with later alterations. 2-storey, 4-bay symmetrical pair of classical houses. Lightly stugged cream sandstone ashlar. Base course; cill course to 1st floor windows; cornice and blocking course.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: doorways in bays 2 and 3; panelled doors; geometric small-paned fanlights; single windows above and in remaining bays to outer left and right; non-traditional shutters and cartwheel to ground floor to outer right.

12-pane, timber, sash and case windows to No 23; plate glass, timber, sash and case windows to No 25. Grey slate pitched roof with 2 later box dormer windows; mutual, coped ridge stack with moulded cans to S.

INTERIOR: not seen 1995.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low coped boundary walls with replacement railings.
