3 Cromwell Road, Burntisland

3 Cromwell Road in Burntisland is an earlier 19th-century building that consists of a pair of irregular houses, each two stories high with an attic and six bays. The exterior is harled with painted margins.

The southeast elevation features No. 3, which is symmetrical with three bays. It has a part-glazed door in the center, flanked by windows, and regular fenestration on the first floor. Above, there is a 19th-century rooflight at the center, with small piended timber dormers over the outer bays. No. 5 is smaller with closely grouped bays, featuring a timber door at the center and windows on either side. The first floor has a window in the center and another in the left bay, along with a cast-iron rooflight near the center left.

The windows are timber sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with purple slates, and there are broad coped gablehead stacks with cans, as well as ashlar coped skews and thackstanes.

The property is enclosed by a low coped and harled boundary wall, which includes inset decorative later cast-iron railings.
