Description

This drinking fountain, located at The Links in Burntisland, is designed in a cast-iron, baldacchino style. It features a domed fountainhead that is square in section and encloses a cherub above a basin with a fluted shaft. The fountain is painted black and gold, showcasing heavy decorations. The corners of the fountainhead are adorned with acroteria that terminate in ball and spike finials. On the southern side, there is a medallion bearing the Burntisland Coat-of-Arms, and the dome is topped with a spiked filigreed finial. Additionally, crocodiles are depicted on the inside of the capitals.
