Lodge, Nether Parkley, Manse Road, Linlithgow

The lodge at Nether Parkley on Manse Road in Linlithgow is a single-storey, three-bay cottage designed in the cottage orne style, dating from the 19th century. It features cream snecked sandstone rubble construction. The south elevation, which serves as the entrance, has a gabled timber porch adorned with lattice ornament and a decorated bargeboard, along with a fanlit door. To the left of the porch is a window, and to the right is a taller gabled bay that includes a canted window topped with a piended slate roof. There is also a gabled return.

The lodge has modern sash and case windows and a grey slate roof, with sandstone corniced end stacks.

In addition, the property is complemented by gatepiers and boundary walls made of ashlar sandstone. The piers have chamfered angles and polygonal caps, while the quadrant walls are ashlar coped, stugged, and snecked, alongside rubble boundary walls.
