Coach House, Rivaldsgreen, Friars Brae, Linlithgow

The Coach House at Rivaldsgreen, Friars Brae, Linlithgow is a building with a quadrangular plan, consisting of a two-storey L-shaped block to the east and south, a single-storey wing to the west, and a wall featuring a segmental-arched carriage entrance to the north. It is constructed from stugged, snecked cream sandstone rubble.

The east wing elevation facing the courtyard has an irregular arrangement of windows, with a slapping at ground level. The north gable face includes a one-bay section with windows at both the ground and first floors on the right side.

The east elevation, which faces the street, features five bays. There is a tripartite window at ground level in the center, a blind window to the right and far left, and windows in each bay at the first floor. The building has modern glazing in the enlarged windows, 12-pane sash and case windows, a grey slate roof, and tall sandstone stacks.
