Description
The Kennels at Langton House, built in the later 19th century, is a single-storey and attic structure with a rectangular plan featuring four bays. The building is constructed from squared and snecked stugged sandstone, accented with droved ashlar dressings.
On the southeast elevation, there are two central bays beneath a gable, each with boarded doors and a window located between them for the attic. The outer bays also feature windows. The northwest elevation has a gabled two-bay group at the center, with a window in each bay and an additional window above in the first-floor inter-bay. Each of the outer bays has two boarded doors.
The roof is made of slate, showcasing exposed rafters and a wallhead ashlar stack at the center of the rear elevation. The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1995. The boundary walls surrounding the property are made of whinstone and sandstone rubble, topped with rounded coping, and enclose the forecourts.
