Description

Stathyre Bridge over the River Balvag was built between 1779 and 1780. It features two segmental arches and triangular cutwaters on both sides of the central pier. The parapet is made from a slightly different colored stone, suggesting it has likely been rebuilt at some point. The bridge is constructed from random rubble, with roughly dressed stones used for the arches and flat cope stones on the parapet.
