Description

Bont Dolgadfan is a bridge, probably from the 18th century, constructed of local rubble stone. It features a single segmental arch that spans the river, which is confined to a narrow deep channel. The arch is made of a single ring of large stone voussoirs, set below a capping string that is flush with the spandrels, rising continuously to the parapet, which has a flush coping made of large stone blocks. Additionally, the bridge has buttressing walls that were added on the upstream side.
