Mansefield, Kirkfield Place, Arrochar

Mansefield is a villa built in the later 19th century, featuring two storeys and a near-symmetrical rectangular plan with a gabled roof. The exterior is constructed from squared and snecked whinstone, accented with sandstone margins and dressings. Notable architectural elements include a base course, quoins, stone hoodmoulds, and decorative timber bargeboards.

The west elevation, which serves as the entrance, has a centrally located door that is columned and corniced, topped with a small ogee pediment. It features a large rectangular plate glass fanlight and an inner glazed door. To the right of the entrance, there is a window with a hoodmould, and above it, a round-headed window that breaks the eaves in the gablehead. On the outer left, there is a square projecting window that is slightly advanced, which is a bipartite window with a timber mullion. Above this window, there is a blocking course and another window in the gablehead, adorned with decorative looped bargeboards. A single-storey service block is located to the outer right.

The villa has lying-pane timber sash and case windows, a slate roof, and whinstone chimney stacks with sandstone coping and octagonal cans, along with a rooflight.
