Description
The Pavilion at Easter Balmoral, built around 1905, is a single-storey structure with a rectangular plan and a piend roof. It features lathed timber construction on a concrete base. The northwest elevation has a verandah with a catslide roof, consisting of five bays supported by tree trunk columns, one of which has been replaced with smooth timber. The columns have capitals, and the verandah includes a boarded soffit and red granite flooring, along with a simple bracketed bench.
The pavilion has doors leading to the outer bays, which are panelled and fitted with hopper fanlights, while the centre bays contain windows. A tripartite window is located on the southwest return, and the rear of the building is blank. The windows feature multi-pane top hoppers over fixed astragalled sections. The roof is covered with red-painted slates, decorative clay ridge tiles, and finials, with a ventilator positioned at the centre.
