Description

Circa 1860. T-plan single storey cottage with basement on falling ground to rear and later addition. Harled, polished granite dressings.

S elevation: 3 bays grouped towards centre. Gabled porch advanced at centre with deeply-chamfered Tudor-arched granite opening; 2-leaf, part-glazed door; windows flanking. Window on gabled return to left.

E elevation: gabled end bay to left with window, recess at centre and gabled bay of later addition to right.

N elevation: broad blank gable of rear wing of T-plan to right with louvred arrowslit to basement and basement door on return to left. Later bays recessed to right with further door and window.

8-pane sash and case windows with mullion effect centre astragals. Purple slate roof with overhanging eaves on ornately carved timber angle brackets and with apex details; gablehead finials. Granite coped ashlar stacks.
