27 Polmuir Road, Ferryhill, Aberdeen

27 Polmuir Road is a cottage built in the mid to later 19th century. It is a single-storey structure with an attic and features a T-plan layout. The exterior is harled with finely finished granite margins on the west side, while the rest of the building is constructed from Aberdeen Bond granite rubble. It has a base course, projecting cills, an eaves course, and a blocking course, along with canted timber dormers on the attic floor.

The west elevation is symmetrical, featuring a pilastered panelled timber door at the center of the ground floor, which has a letterbox fanlight above it. On either side of the door, there are large bowed bays, each containing three windows. There are also dormers on the left and right sides of the attic floor.

The south elevation was not visible in 1999. The east elevation is near-symmetrical, with a gabled bay that is advanced to the center and has a modern window off-centre to the right. There is a dormer in the attic floor of the flanking bay to the right, while the remainder of this elevation was not seen in 1999. The north elevation is gabled and blank.

The cottage predominantly features 4-pane timber sash and case windows, with a PVCu window at the rear. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a lead ridge, along with coped stone skews and coped gablehead stacks topped with octagonal cans. The building also has cast-iron rainwater goods.

The boundary wall consists of a low coped granite wall on the west side.
