Description

Mid to later 19th century. Single storey and attic; 3-bay; T-plan cottage. Harled with finely finished granite margins to W; Aberdeen Bond granite rubble to remainder. Base course; projecting cills; eaves course and blocking course; canted timber dormers to attic floor.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical; pilastered panelled timber door to centre of ground floor with letterbox fanlight; large bowed bays flanking to left and right, 3 windows to each; dormer to left and right of attic floor.

S ELEVATION: not seen 1999.

E ELEVATION: near-symmetrical; gabled bay advanced to centre with modern window off-centre to right; dormer to attic floor of flanking bay to right; remainder not seen 1999.

N ELEVATION: gabled; blank.

Predominantly 4-pane timber sash and case windows; PVCu window to rear. Grey slate roof with lead ridge. Coped stone skews. Coped gablehead stacks with octagonal cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen 1999.

BOUNDARY WALL: low coped granite wall to W.
