Powfoot Bowling Club Pavilion, Pow Water Gardens, Powfoot

The Powfoot Bowling Club Pavilion, built around 1907, is a single-storey, three-bay structure designed in the Arts and Crafts style. It features a veranda supported by turned timber posts and has painted timber detailing along with decorative brickwork on the gables. The roof is half-hipped and covered with slate, adorned with ornamental red terracotta ridge tiles and finials.

The gables have plain bargeboards and valances, complemented by curvilinear timber detailing along the eaves of the veranda. The entrance includes a half-glazed timber panelled door with deeply moulded decorative panels. The front elevation has fixed bipartite windows with small-pane glazing in the upper section and single, shoulder-arched panes in the lower half. A similar glazing pattern is found on the north elevation.

Inside, as observed in 2013, the pavilion remains largely intact, featuring boarded timber panelling on all walls and the ceiling, with evidence of simple stencilling at the dado level. The floors are finished with diamond-set tiles in both the interior and the veranda. There is a small side room to the south that contains a simple cast-iron corner urinal and a porcelain basin, which is supported by a decorative cast-iron apron and legs.
