Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan, symmetrical cottage. E-facing. Regular fenestration to principal elevation, door to centre flanked by narrow rectangular windows. Single window to rear and S gable end with small light to gablehead and slightly advanced chimneybreast. Partial remains of 12-pane sash and case windows. Corrugated iron roof. Coped skews and gable stacks.

INTERIOR: timber lining boards to central hall. Former kitchen to left with blocked range recess to gable end and timber lined box bed and press to centre. Former parlour to right of hall with cast-iron fireplace.

BYRE: later 19th century. Single storey, rectangular-plan gabled byre to immediate S of cottage. Coursed granite courses. Raised concrete skews. Corrugated iron roof. Boarded timber doors to side E elevation.

GARDEN WALL: low rubble, rectangular wall to front of cottage framing small former kail yard.
