Description
The Brae is a mid-Victorian, symmetrical, detached villa designed in the Jacobean style. It features irregular squared rubble with pinnings. The building is two stories high and has a three-window front, with an advanced central entrance bay that includes a shaped gabled plain doorpiece. The windows are segment-headed, and there are shaped dormer heads topped with ball finials. The south front also has three windows, with two ground floor canted bays that have decorative iron cresting, and a central chimney gable. The roof is gambrel slated. There is a single-storey and loft outbuilding that is currently used as a garage.
