96-100 Quarry Street, Hamilton

This building, located at 96-100 Quarry Street in Hamilton, dates back to 1870 and is a three-storey, three-bay tenement that features shops on the ground floor. It is constructed from grey stugged ashlar and has a slate roof. The ground floor has a cornice, and there is a moulded wallhead course above. The first floor showcases architraved single and bipartite windows, with consoled segmental and triangular pediments. The windows have modern plate glass glazing set in out-of-character tilt frames. The building includes a corniced wallhead stack and a corniced ridge stack on the right, along with a modern coped stack on the left. The central entrance features a close door with a segmental decorative date panel, while modern shopfronts are located to the left and right. There is a single window at the centre of the first and second floors, flanked by bipartite windows. The interior has not been seen.
