57, 59, 61, 63, 65 Quarry Street, Hamilton

This late 19th century tenement building, located at 57, 59, 61, 63, and 65 Quarry Street in Hamilton, is three stories high and features four bays with shops on the ground floor. The exterior is constructed from cream sandstone ashlar and topped with a slate roof. The ground floor includes a close door and two modern shopfronts.

The first floor has a continuous pediment band, while the second floor features a cill band and a corniced wallhead. The windows include single, paired, and tripartite designs with moulded jambs. Originally, these were plate glass timber sash and case windows, but most have been replaced with modern materials that do not match the original character.

On the first floor, there are two single windows in the center, each adorned with consoled pediments. The second floor has two windows with corbelled lintels. The outer bays consist of slightly advanced two-storey window panels, with a segmental-pedimented tripartite window on the first floor and a bipartite window on the second floor, both featuring volutes. The building also has coped stacks. The interior has not been seen.
