Description

15 Castlegate in Lanark is a mid-19th century building that stands two storeys tall and features two bays. The structure is made of painted coursed rubble with painted ashlar margins, and it has droved long and short dressings along with quoins. An off-centre door is flanked by two shop windows, and there is a pend on the left side. The first floor has two windows. The building is topped with a cornice and straight skews, and there is a model of a dog on the northern skewputt. It has end stacks and a slate roof.
